As a wedding photographer, full wedding days are back and working the Bahamas that means you have to have your sunscreen ready. It was an incredibly hot day, and the ceremony design meant that all the coverage would be in harsher sunlight.
Earlier in my career, I would have cringed at this notion, but I have learned that a wedding is not about being perfect. It is more about embracing the less than ideal elements because they all contribute to an honest reflection of the day. I do not like to have my brides squinting because the sun is in her eyes, but this is her story and the realty of that day. The images more than anything should reflect that!
